Top 20 highest test score by a batsman :- There are huge numbers of runs are lasted by legends in test match cricket. In this article I,m going to share top highest individual test score by a batsman. So lets check.

1. Brian Lara (400 Runs) :-

Brian Lara the Caribbean batsman has the record of highest individual test score by a batsman. His 400(582) runs against England on 10 Apr 2004 at St John’s ground, Antigua.  This innings included 43 fours and 4 sixes.

2. Mathew Hayden (380 Runs) :-

Australian Batsman Mathew Hayden‘s 380(437) runs is the second highest individual score in test cricket. It was against Zimbabwe on 9 Oct 2003 at Perth, Australia. This innings included 38 fours and 11 sixes.

3. Brian Lara (375 Runs) :-

Again it’s the Caribbean batsman Brian Lara who has the record of 3rd highest test score by a batsman. His 375(538) runs against England on 16 Apr 1994 at St John’s ground, Antigua is the 3rd highest individual score in test match history. This innings included 45 fours.

4. Mahela Jayawardene (374 Runs) :-

Srilankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene’s 374(572) runs against South Africa at Colombo, Sri Lanka on 27 Jul 2006 is the third highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 43 fours and 1 sixes.

5. Sir Garry Sobers (365 Runs) :-

Sir Garry Sobers the caribbean batsman’s 365 runs against Pakistan at Kingston,Jamaica on 26 Feb 1958 is the 5th highest individual score in test match history. This innings included 38 fours.

6. Sir Leonard Hutton (364 Runs) :-

Sir Leonard Hutton the England batsman’s 364(847) runs against Australia at Kennington Oval, England on 20 Aug 1938 is the 6th highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 35 fours.

7. Sanath Jayasuriya (340 runs) :-

Sri lankan batsman Sanath Jayasuriya 340(578) runs against India at Colombo, Sri Lanka on 2 Aug 1997 is the 7th individual highest score in test cricket. This innings included 36 fours and 2 sixes.

8. Hanif Mohammad (337 Runs) :-

Pakistani Batsman Hanif Mohammad‘s 337 runs against West Indies on17 Jan 1958 at Kensington Oval, England is the 8th highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 24 fours.

9. Wally Hammond (336 Runs) :-

England Batsman Wally Hammond‘s 336 runs against New Zealand on 31 Mar 1933 at Auckland, New Zealand is the 9th highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 34 fours and 10 sixes.

10. Mark Taylor (334 Runs) :-

Mark Taylor the Australian batsman’s 334(564) runs against Pakistan at Peshawar, Pakistan on 15 Oct 1998 is the 10th highest individual score by a batsman in test match cricket. This innings included 32 fours and 1 six.

11. Sir Donald Bradman (334 Runs) :-

Sir Donald Bradman the great Australian batsman’s 334(448) runs against  England on 11 Jul 1930 at Leeds, England is the 11th highest test score by a batsman. This inngs included 46 fours.

12. Graham Gooch (333 Runs) :-

England batsman Graham Gooch‘s 333(485) runs against India at Lord’s, India on 26 Jul 1990 is the 12th highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 43 fours and 3 sixes.

13. Chris Gayle (333 Runs) :-

Caribbean Batsman Chris Gayle‘s 333(437) runs against Sri Lanka at Galle, Sri Lanka on 15 Nov 2010 is the 13th highest individual test score by a batsman. This innings included 34 fours and 9 sixes.

14. Michael Clarke (329 Runs) :-

Michael Clarke the australia batsman’s 329(468) runs against India at Sydney, Australia on 3 Jan 2012 is the highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 39 fours and 1 six.

15. Inzamam-ul-Haq (329 Runs) :-

Pakistani batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq‘s 329(436) runs against New Zealand at Lahore, Pakistan on 1 May 2002 is the 15th highest individual score by a batsman in test match cricket. This innings included 38 fours and 9 sixes.

England batsman Andy Sandham‘s 325(640) runs against West Indies at Kingston, Jamaica on 3 Apr 1930 is the 16th highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 28 fours.

17. Virender Sehwag (319 Runs) :-

Indian batsman Virender Sehwag‘s 319(304) runs against South Africa at Chennai, India on 26 Mar 2008 is the 17th highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 42 fours and 5 sixes.

This innings is also the highest test score by an Indian batsman.

18. Kumar Sangakkara (319 Runs) :-

Sri Lankan batsman Kumar Sangakkara‘s 319(482) runs against Bangladesh at Chittagong, Bangladesh on 4 Feb 2014 is the 18th highest test score by a batsman in test match history. This innings included 32 fours and 8 sixes.

19. Chris Gayle (317 Runs) :-

Caribbean Batsman Chris Gayle‘s 317(483) runs against South Afrika at St John’s, Antigua on 29 Apr 2005 is the 13th highest individual test score by a batsman. This innings included 37 fours and 3 sixes.

20. Younish Khan (313 Runs) :-

Pakistani batsman Younish Khan‘s 313(568) runs against Sri Lanka at Karachi, Pakistan on 21 Feb 2009 is the 20th highest test score by a batsman. This innings included 27 fours and 4 sixes.
